Medical waste is broadly defined as any item that comes into contact with bodily fluids. Specifically, it is any solid waste that is generated in the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization of a human.
MedPro Disposal specializes in the medical waste disposal process for the healthcare facilities of Peoria. It is very important these facilities handle the removal process with extreme caution to ensure the safety of the patients and the community of Peoria. We are able to construct a customized plan in order to fit your medical needs. We require to pieces of information which include how much medical waste is being produced and how often the waste is being picked up. With those factors we are able to determine a cost-effective pick-up schedule.
The process of medical waste is dangerous, but MedPro Disposal offers a solution to this problem. Your facility would be provided with red-lined cardboard boxes which would accumulate the medical waste. On your scheduled pick-up date our drivers would remove the waste and provide your practice with additional boxes to restart the process. Peoria Little-Known Facts
Peoria is one of the oldest settlements in Illinois, as explorers first ventured up the Illinois River from the Mississippi. The lands that eventually would become Peoria were first settled in 1680, when French explorers Ren-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle and Henri de Tonti constructed Fort Crevecoeur. This fort would later burn to the ground, and in 1813 Fort Clark, Illinois was built. When the County of Peoria was organized in 1825, Fort Clark was officially named Peoria. Peoria was named after the Peoria tribe, a member of the Illinois Confederation. The original meaning of the word is uncertain. A 21st-century proposal suggests a derivation from a Proto-Algonquian word meaning “to dream with the help of a manitou.”
