Medical waste is broadly defined as any item that comes into contact with bodily fluids. Specifically, it is any solid waste that is generated in the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization of a human.
Here at MedPro we simplify the process of providing medical waste disposal. We require two pieces of information to start the process of constructing a customized plan for your facility. The information includes how much medical waste is being produced at these facilities and how often the medical is being picked up. With those factors we can determine a set pick-up schedule that suits your needs. The process would begin with your facility receiving red-lined cardboard boxes to accumulate the medical waste that is produced. On your scheduled pick up date we would remove the boxes from your facility and provide you with new boxes to restart the process. We understand your medical waste accumulation may change, therefore we are very flexible in accommodating any requests you have in regards to changing your frequency and volume.
Another program that is very popular in the Springfield area is our unique pharmaceutical mail back program. Your facility would be provided with 2.5 gallon OTC/Rx or controlled bucket. The bucket would collect unwanted and expired medications. The program is compliant on all state and federal levels. You would be provided with a pre-paid UPS return label that would simplify the disposal process for your facility. It is very important to keep these harmful medications out of Springfield’s landfills and water systems. The one-time purchase of the bucket is an affordable solution to your excess medications.
It is very important to have your facility OSHA compliant. MedPro Disposal offers OSHA training that is accessible on our online portal. The user friendly program enables your employees to get trained and certified. The advantages our OSHA program offer include: interactive multimedia training, advanced search options, and simplified safety data sheet management.
