Known as The First State, Delaware is situated in the northeastern pocket of the United States. The state was named after an English nobleman, Thomas West. West was also the first colonial governor of Virginia. Although Delaware is the second smallest state, it is very densely populated.

Early populations of Native Americans settled the land that is now known as Delaware, however, Europeans in the 16th century took over the first state. Before European settlement, the eastern Algonquin tribes such as the Unami Lenape claimed this territory. Hunting and agriculture was their specialty. Fur trade became highly competitive with the Lenape tribe and their enemy the Minqua. With the continuous loss of their land, many fled the area. Those who wished to stay were converted as Christians, and were grouped with people of color.

Delaware participated in the American Revolution, and later became the first ratified state in the United States on December 7th, 1787. Due to their strong relationship with Britain, the colony had leniency when it came to independent action and decision-making. Merchants residing at the port of Wilmington had strong bonds with the British, which brought ease of trade and a plethora of goods. Thomas Mckean and Caesar Rodney, whom were Patriot leaders, anticipated the writing of the declaration of independence. Due to this insider information if you may, these individuals convinced the Colonial Assembly to separate itself from British rule June 15th, 1776. After the American Revolution came to a halt, Delaware prominence were leading contributors to the strong central United States that formed. Each state also had equal representation.

Not limited to the First State National Historical Park, Delaware has many more sites to offer. Whether you are looking for a museum, park, or historically-rich lighthouses, Delaware can provide you an experience of a lifetime. Rehoboth Beach, along with others such as Dewey Beach and Bethany Beach, are some popular coast side destinations. Rehoboth is known for its prominence, often referring to itself as “The Nation’s Summer Capital”. Residents from all of the surrounding northeastern states vacation here in the summer months. One major driving force to recruiting tourism is the tax free shopping that the town has to offer. In combination with the beautiful summer beaches, Delaware has many festivals and events. From the Rehoboth Chocolate Festival to the Firefly Music Festival, it is challenging to not find something to do.

When it comes to economic stability, you could say Delaware does fairly well. In a Phoenix Marketing International study, Delaware was ranked ninth-largest in regards to the number of millionaires per capita. This study was done in 2013, therefore very recent. Delaware produces poultry, nursery stock, soybeans, and lots of dairy. There are many contributors in the employment sector of Delaware. Some of which are the government, education, and healthcare.

The process of medical waste disposal is one that is not all that challenging, but required. The first line of business is to separate all waste. In doing so these items will be sterilized, followed by compaction and disposal. Two machines make this process safe and possible. The autoclave is used at the beginning of the process, to release all of the air out of each unit. From there, the intense heat produced by the incinerator makes sure that all possible bacteria are killed off. From this stage, the items can either be recycled back into the medical field, or just disposed of completely.

Our flexibility is a major advantage of working with MedPro. Customers call in daily asking to adjust services, and we get right on it. Anywhere from changing the frequency of pick up, to asking for more boxes. Things will change, and always do, so we adjust with you. Your dedicated customer advocate has the ability to make changes whenever need be. Give them a call, explain what you need done, and we can assure you they will make it work. Doing so is at no extra cost to anyone. Whether it is our own hauler, or the many affiliate haulers, we will get to you at the frequency best fit.

Delaware’s finest can invest their faith in MedPro. We know which steps to take in order to keep your patients safe and your practice compliant.
